This will be our 9th trip to Honduras.
Leaving late January 2018
Why we go:
Mt. Pleasant and the EPC are committed to being missional. 10% of our giving is designated to missions both foreign and domestic. Our annual trip to Honduras gives our congregation an opportunity to experience firsthand meaningful mission work in a foreign country.
During Pastor Omars visit he was asked how we could best help. He told us that Honduras suffers from a corrupt government, high crime rate and a poor economy, this leads to a sense of helplessness and low self esteem. Just coming and showing that we care and God cares is the most important thing.
Those who go also get a lot out of the trip. We witness God at work in a real and powerful way. You get to make a real difference and get to experience a different culture up close and personal, not just as tourist and also develop a deeper appreciation of our blessings.
As is years past, we will be doing construction projects, playground improvements at Bethesda, distributing food and school supplies as well as just spending time with friends from past trips. Anyone can participate.
Cost is To Be Determined. If you really want to go, but can’t afford this we have an online donation form for your sponsors. Also, Mt. Pleasant Missions contributes a portion of the cost to each missionary.
